Memory fixes

Finally found the cause of the memory leak which GoZen was having and fixed it. Some other fixes got added, but no new stuff was added. It's kind of a maintenance release before heading into v0.10.0-alpha.

Next version will take some time as I'll start on the transitions, so stay tuned for that.
